Amazon Echo Demonstration

Sam Seavey will present a demonstration on how to use the Amazon Echo. Amazon Echo is a hands-free speaker you control with your voice. Echo connects to the Alexa Voice Service to play music, provide information, news, sports scores, weather, and more—instantly.

A trip to the Regal Cinemas in Hamburg to watch a movie using audio described headsets designed for visually impaired or blind movie goers. The Regal Cinemas has ten such headsets available and so we will designate these for the first ten who RSVP for this outing who are blind or visually impaired.

Our first class will focus on kitchen safety for the visually impaired. Sam will discuss knife skills, food safety to prevent food borne illness, and general kitchen safety. There is a limit of 10 spots for this class.

Radio Eye

A Signal Affair

Third annual casino benefit, to raise money for radio reading services in Kentucky. This is one of the only events in Lexington where attendees can play craps and roulette (and learn how to play the games in a low-stakes environment), and square off against friends at blackjack and poker – all while benefiting a nonprofit that helps over 9,800 people statewide.
